Goals4Good is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in the Kansas City area with the mission to provide scholarships and support to youth soccer players, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to pursue their passion and develop their talents in a competitive environment.

Competitive soccer can provide valuable opportunities for young athletes, but club fees, coaching, tournaments, equipment, and travel can make participation difficult for many families.

Who We Are

About Us

Our Story

Founded by lifelong players Clare and Annabelle, Goals4Good aims to ensure dedicated players have access to a competitive playing environment to foster development of character and soccer skills, without financial barriers limiting their success. Clare and Annabelle are passionate about this cause because they believe every dedicated athlete should be able to participate in competitive sports and pursue their goals without financial need getting in the way of their dreams.

After playing soccer for so long, they are aware of the cost of competitive sports, and it is their goal to support youth players who have the passion for the game but not the resources needed to support their development. Through community support with donations and partnerships, our goal is for financial burdens to never be the reason a committed player has to quit.

Goals4Good members envision a future where financial barriers do not prevent talented and passionate soccer players from accessing the opportunities they deserve.

How the Application Process Works:

Apply

Complete the online form confirming age, geographic eligibility, soccer participation/level requirements, club recommendation, financial need requirements, and personal statements.

Review

Applications are reviewed by the Goals4Good board of directors based on the scholarship requirements, personal statements, financial need, and the number of scholarships available.

Documentation

Once your application is chosen to receive a scholarship, you will be asked to fill out a separate form providing one type of additional documentation that proves financial need such as proof of qualifying assistance or a pay stub.

Award

Selected recipients are contacted and scholarship funds are sent directly to the players' club.

Scholarships will be given in up to 2,500 dollar increments and rewarded to families that show need and have dedication to the game of soccer. Goals4Good considers household size, soccer-related expenses, and individual family circumstances when determining financial need.

Financial information will be treated confidentially and reviewed only by authorized scholarship reviewers. All scholarship money will be delegated directly to the players' club.

All players must receive a letter of recommendation from their club in order to be eligible for a scholarship.

Questions Answered

FAQs

High-level players who are dedicated to the game and have demonstrated financial need. Players must be aged U12-U18.
Players can receive up to 2,500 dollars in club fees and other soccer expenses that go through their club. If remaining club fees are less than 2,500 dollars, the rest of the money will be put towards another scholarship.
You can prove financial need by providing one type of additional documentation such as proof of qualifying assistance or a pay stub.
Yes, all financial information is only seen by approved Goals4Good board members and will be deleted x amount of months after a scholarship is given.
Applications can be submitted year round based on club payments and other needs.
Yes, Goals4Good is a 501(c)(3) and any money given directly to the organization will be tax deductible. If given on Givebutter, you will automatically receive a tax deductible receipt. If given on Venmo, you will receive a receipt but may need to reach out to goals4goodkc@gmail.com to get any additional information needed.
